'Awa' Bowl | Yamaheigama

A special method of 'Awa' (it means bubble in Japanese) design is employed to create a sparkling effect in the ceramic, reminiscent of viewing the water's surface from beneath the sea. Each bubble is meticulously hand-finished, although variations in appearance may occur from piece to piece. 

By serving dishes with the 'Awa' series tableware, you can enhance the sense of special occasion. This series tableware has become popular in Japanese onsen ryokans (rest houses) and Japanese restaurants. Its design, which particularly evokes the purity of water, becomes even more delightful when incorporated into seafood dishes or summer course meals.

Care
・Microwave safe (except for gold and silver-plated items), but not for use on an open fire or in an oven.
・The product can be washed in a dishwasher (except for gold or silver-plated products), but please do not use a hard metal scrub brush.
・The back of the product has a vertical line and small dents that appear during the forming process, and are no scratches or cracks.
・The ceramic clay used as raw material contains a small amount of iron. Small black spots may appear on the surface due to firing.
・This product is made in Japan from Arita porcelain 有田焼. Although the porcelain is hard, if cracks appear, please discontinue using the product.
